Lucy was owned by Tom Wyborn at Lamorna. When Tom decided to emigrate to Australia in 1926, Frank Heath asked Tom if he would prefer a painting of Martha (Tom's Wife) or his horse. Back came the reply: "Well I'm taking my wife with me, but not the horse." This painting of Lucy was the result.
